Picture of Chicken & Brown Rice
Chicken & Brown Rice

Adults 6+ months and Seniors

A Hypo-allergenic, low fat, single meat protein source food that is highly digestible and can also be used for the nutritional management of dogs with certain diet related problems.

If your dog is itching and scratching or suffering from apparent food sensitivity or bad digestion this food is an ideal starter into the realm of quality food - you should see an significant improvement in the problem within 3 days! Proved time and time again to the surprise of many sceptical clients - and it is far cheaper than the "so called" expensive veterinary "Sensitive" diets. Our own dogs have been fed on this for over 13 years - started after specialist foods failed to help with one of ours with Addison's and pancreatic issues - and they are extremely healthy. It is great for dogs of ALL ages (Use Mini-Bites for puppies <6 months).

You also feed less (around 25% less than most main-stream foods) and poo's are smaller, less frequent, firm and with less smell.

Note that the protein level is balanced between animal and vegetable sources. Many other foods are developed to indicate a high protein level because customer perception is that the higher the protein level the better - however meat protein is expensive and so these other foods manipulate the quoted protein level by raising the amount of vegetable matter - this leads to an imbalance of certain amino acids which is often associated with bad skin or coat conditions.

Product reviews
Burns Canine High Oats
Our 12,5 year old dog Tommy normally had every day an epileptic insult, some quite heavy. Since 3 months he eats Burns Canine High Oats. He hardly have insults anymore.
We are very pleased with the food.
