Natural Dog Food - Chicken & Rice Review

Ingredients:
Chicken Meat Meal (min 22%), Fresh Chicken (min 21%), Brown Rice (min 21%), Oats, Mixed Herbs (min 8%), Barley, Refined Chicken Oil, Sugar Beet, Linseed, Brewers Yeast

One of the first things you will notice in comparison to other brands is the lack of Wheat, Animal Fat, Hydrolysed Proteins and Salt.
This is a really top quality food, developed by a nutritionist who was previously with Burns Pet Nutrition.
 
With over 27% Dry Weight MEAT from British Chickens (NOT Battery Hens) it provides all your dog's needs from natural sources and is well balanced in terms of protein (many other foods have far too much vegetable proteins - a cause of skin and hair problems amongst others) and is also low in fat. These are also "single meat protein source" foods - for example the Chicken contains no Fish protein - so they are great for food intolerances.

This is a great food for all sizes of dog.

The Chicken & Rice is also available in "Large Bite" size which are ideal for the larger dog or puppy as it will slow down their eating. Note that large dogs should normally have their food bowls raised and not be able to gulp their food as this can lead to a stomach torsion (Bloat) which is extremely dangerous.

Feeding Guide
The NDF guide for our imaginary 20Kg Adult dog is 200g per day. Significantly less than other brands and even as little as 33% of the amount for some cheap supermarket rations.

The feeding cost for our 20Kg dog is therefore 0,82€ per day
