Feeding Guide
The guide for our imaginary 20Kg Adult dog is 250g per day.
Costings and Comparisons
On 21st September 2010 the price on "Pet Needs" for "Fit and Well Adult Medium" from their "Supreme" range was 41,99€ for a 12.5Kg bag
The daily feeding cost for giving our 20Kg dog 250g of this works out at 0,84€
To feed the Natural Hypoallergenic Burns Chicken and Maize would be 0,80€ or, with Chicken & Rice, 0,91€ per day and these have real named meats (not by-products of anything that dropped from the sky), no added salt (used to give Happy Dog some flavour) and NO hydrolysed protein sources.
An equivalent 15Kg of this would last the 20Kg dog 60 days but a 15Kg bag of Burns, Natural Dog Food, Fish 4 Dogs or Applaws would last around 75 days!!!
Star Rating
Doesn't make the grade - and this is their "Supreme" range!
Closing Note
This is not a hypo-allergenic food as the main meat ingredient is unspecified poultry and fats from several sources.
The rice flour is included as both a bulking and a thickening agent - it is a gluten free alternative to wheat.
The 4th ingredient is Greaves - and this is the "unmeltable residue left after the animal fat has been rendered" in slaughterhouses - say no more!
