The Burns "High Oats" ("Alta Aveia") is high in digestible fibre and is designed for a slow decrease in weight rather than a "Crash Diet".
The food may be supplemented by the addition of vegetables if required although it is a complete food in itself.
For weight control you feed according to the target weight rather than the actual weight of the dog.
You can also use the Natural Dog Food "Senior / Light" which includes around 26% dry weight Turkey MEAT as against the approximate 20% Dry weight Chicken MEAT in the Burns "High Oats".
There are NO animal or vegetable by-products in our foods and NO wheat or soya. There are also no hydrolised proteins - the dog's stomach does the digestion of the quality ingredients not the production process which is applied to the otherwise inedible reclaimed ingredients in most other foods!
